My 13 year old son has autism. I'm hoping to get him a DAS card to help him enjoy his visit. Has anyone had trouble getting one? Do I need to bring a letter from his doctor? Thank you

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lauretta!

Walt Disney World Resort is committed to being an inclusive and welcoming environment for all guests, and offers the Disability Access Service, also known as DAS, to those guests for whom waiting in a traditional queue is not possible. The DAS registration is linked to the guest's MagicBand, and can be used to secure a return time for an attraction that is similar to the current wait in the standby queue.

Since guests with with disabilities have varying needs, you'll discuss accommodations with a Cast Member at the main entrance Guest Relations location at any of the four theme parks. You do not need to provide any proof, but you will need to chat about your specific needs in order to determine if DAS is right for you. If DAS is provided, it will be linked to your MagicBand and a photo of the participating guest will be taken. You'll then be able to receive a return time, essentially entering into a virtual line, for one attraction at a time so you do not have to stand in the standby queue. DAS is valid for up to 60 days, and you can use it in conjunction with FastPass+!

For more information, or to discuss your son's specific needs, please feel free to contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or email disability.services@disneyparks.com.

    Have a magical day, Lauretta!
