HI! Can my 8 and 7 year old ride anything by themselves? They are determined to ride space mountain but due to a neck surgery and injury I cannot ride with them. I know my 8 year old went on a few last year by himself but not sure about my 7 year old.

Hello, Shelby! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Children who are 7 years old and older may ride attractions without an adult, as long as they meet the minimum height requirements for the ride. You may want to wait in line with your children, and simply inform the Cast Member you will not be riding. The Cast Member will escort you to an area where you can wait for your children to finish their ride. For more details, please refer to the Walt Disney World Resort Park Rules.

Wishing you and your family a magical vacation, Shelby!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
