My 70-year old parents are joining our upcoming trip. Because the walk to the resort room from bus drop off and pickup can be pretty far, do the resorts have golf carts or small shuttles to take guests to their rooms? We are staying at Port Orleans.

    Hi there, Brandy!
How special to have your parents come along with you on the magical experience! You and your entire family will absolutely love the charm, scenery, and style of Disney's Port Orleans Riverside or French Quarter.

Both of these resorts have acres of paved sidewalks and the beautiful ambiance of the Bayou. The resorts do not offer a shuttle service or a golf cart for guests to use to and from the bus stops. I would suggest that you call 407-939-1936 and speak with a Cast Member to add a special request to your reservation. Let the Cast Member know that you would like to be in a room close to a bus stop on the bottom floor. This request will be added to your reservation as a note. Once you arrive at the resort, stop by the front desk to ensure that you and your family have a room that will accommodate your parents. Cast Members are always available and willing to make sure that you have a magical experience.

Next, call one of the local Orlando ECV rental companies. You can rent an ECV for your entire trip and have it delivered to and picked up from your resort. You will pick them up and return them to Bell Services.

Buses and the Monorail have room to allow guests in wheelchairs and ECVs to enter and exit smoothly. By having the ECV available throughout the entire trip, it will ensure that your parents are comfortable!

Brandy, I wish that you and your family have the most magical time ever! Consider Memory Maker for your multi-generational trip to capture every moment!
