My 10 year old is not big on rides but I want her to experience something magical but not fast and scary. Any ideas maybe this experience would decrease the fear?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michelle! There is all kinds of magic to be had at Walt Disney World Resort. For those that aren’t into super fast rides, scary thrills or rollercoasters, there is still plenty to do!

One of my most favorite pieces of magic is Peter Pan’s Flight. This classic attraction allows you and your family to ride in groups of 1-3 in a magical pirate ship that floats over scenes from Disney’s classic animated film, Peter Pan. Your ten year old won’t be able to resist familiar music, beloved characters, and the encompassing magic of this slow moving airship ride. The other beautiful attraction that will be a must-do is the Na'vi River Journey in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and land of Pandora. This bio-luminscent boat ride is a calming, inspirational musical journey through a glowing forest, with no scares, drops or thrills at all. Watching the animals come alive and hearing the quiet chirps of alien frogs and bugs is a wonderful way to find some magic. I know they will love it!

If I can recommend other calming but magical experiences, please let me know. I’m hEAR for you! ~ Lindsey P.
