Does my 2 year old need a magic band?

Hi Holly! You must be very excited about bringing your young child to experience the magic of Walt Disney World. The memories you will make will stay with you forever.

Children under the age of 3 do not need a Magic Band. Magic Bands are used for charging, tickets, your room key card, and more. Children under three do not need any of these purposes as they get into the parks for free.

Children under three also do not need FastPasses. They can accompany you on the attractions using your FastPass. If you would like them to experience rides such as Dumbo or Its a Small World then you would have to use that as your FastPass. Of course you can always go on these attractions in the Stand By lines. Also remember that there are restrictions for some of the attractions where younger children are not allowed. You can use the Rider Switch program on these rides.
