My 7 year old likes to order off the adult menu, I heard if you have the deluxe dining plan kids are able to order off the adult menu if they want because they don't differentiate the credits. I some new rule went into place this year or something?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Andrea! I'm happy to answer your question!

My family and I always use the Disney Dining Plan when we vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort. It is a great way to get rid of all the stress when ordering our meals, even the younger ones can be a lot more independent choosing their own meal from the counter service locations and tapping their bands to redeem their credits. Everyone loves its convenience!

Disney's Deluxe Dining Plan is the most comprehensive dining plan as it gives you the most meals with delicious appetizers and yummy snacks. In addition, everyone gets a refillable drink mug, which is eligible for refills at self-service beverage islands at Quick-Service locations at any Disney Resort hotel. Everyone in your party (ages 3+)  will receive three meals and two snacks per night of your package stay.

Guests ages three to nine must order from a children's menu (where available) so your seven-year-old will have to order from that menu. With the Disney's Deluxe Dining Plan, you get three meal entitlements per day that you can use as you please; you may choose to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner at sit-down restaurants if you'd like to. You can make advance dining reservations and enjoy several character meals, signature dining, dinner shows, etc. at participating restaurants.

I hope this answer helps you a bit, Andrea. If you have any more questions, please come see us again.

    Happy Disney Dining!

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
