My 94 year old grandfather is treating 29 of us (4 generations) to a all-inclusive trip to WDW in June, Is there anything that we can do to surprise him that WDW offers that would be special. can you recommend any experience that we should not miss?

Kris, you are going to the right place for special surprises!

First of all, I hope that you have let Disney know that you're all coming together to the resort. Disney calls you and your group a Grand Gathering. There are special dining experiences, character meals, and merchandise just for these one-of-a-kind memorable occasions!

If you're coming on the Disney Dining Plan, let me recommend the Illuminations Dinner and Dessert Reception at Epcot--I've enjoyed it twice! Wouldn't it be nice to know that you have a special viewing section roped off just for y'all to enjoy the fireworks? No one has to leave dinner early to hold places--and all 29 of you can be together!

And if you're looking for a special surprise for your grandfather, why not welcome him to the resort with Mickey's Grand Welcome from www.disneyflorist.com. When I visited in December, I was greeted with this explosion of good-will and welcome in my room, and I was overwhelmed. A 32" Mickey was waiting for me beside a special box loaded with all kinds of goodies! Next to him was a personalized blanket, a cookie bouquet, a framed greeting just for me and lots of decorations and pixie dust. It made my trip. They've got lots of surprises on their website for any budget that will make your visit special.

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
