I have an 8 year old girl and 12 year old boy. WE plan to ride soaring first and fast pass frozen. Any suggestions on using the fast pass for anything else? What are the character greetings like and who do you see? I was also considering just saving for MK

    Hi Tanya!

It is great to have a plan for the parks as you prepare for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. Deciding on the FastPass options is one of the hardest decisions in this planning.

Epcot does have a tiered system for their FastPass selections. The attractions in Tier 1 include Frozen, Soarin, Test Track, and Illuminations. You can only choose one and you will be doing this when you select Frozen for your family. You now have option to select two from Tier 2 and this list is much longer.

Looking at the age of your children I would suggest a FastPass for any of the following: Turtle Talk With Crush, Spaceship Earth, Character Meet and Greet, Living with the Land, and Mission Space. Turtle Talk is just a fun experience and the youngest can participate in it. Living with the Land is a nice boat ride while seeing the insides of the Land Pavilion, Spaceship Earth is a must see although the lines will get shorter at days end and no need for a FastPass if you are staying. Mission Space can be exciting or calm depending on which side you choose to ride. The Character Meet and Greet is a wonderful spot for good characters. Generally you will meet Mickey and three of his friends and those can change from time to time but they will be major ones.

Once you choose a FastPass for a park you must choose all three before you head to another park that day to select more. In other words you cannot save from one park to the other. When you head to the Magic Kingdom you can select more only if you have used up your Epcot ones on that same day.

Be sure and be at park opening very early to be close to the front of the lines to enter. Many guests will head straight to Soarin so you will want to be there ahead of most to avoid a long wait. Also consider using the single rider line for Test Track to also experience that attraction. You can easily spend a day in Epcot!
