Emma from Tyne and wear Asked

I have a 17 year old disabled son who is coming to disney for the first time. Is there any tips on how to make it a fantastic experience for him?

    Hello Emma!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you are having a magical week!

Once you arrive at Disneyland Resort, inside of both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, Guest Services have a location with Cast Members on hand to help you. I would go in there and talk to a Cast Member about your son and they will ask you a few questions about what accommodations you may need and provide you information about the Disability Access Service.

The Disability Access Service will allow you to get a return time for an attraction so you can visit other areas of the parks until the time stated. You then go to the FASTPASS entrance and show them your ticket that has the return time programmed on it. You don’t have to use it for all rides, just those that might be difficult to maneuver for your son.

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need anything else as you plan your visit!

    See you real soon!
