    My 15 year old daughter and I are going to WDW in late august early september for two weeks. I have visited the park site and done some research, but I am looking for a few experiences that are off the beaten path and are low cost. Any Idea's.

    Good for you to search out the special activities!

    OK, here are a few ideas;

    • Surfing Class. That is right, you can learn to surf at Typhoon Lagoon! You do it before the park opens, so no gawkers, and it is something you can do together.
    • Discover Fort Wilderness. Go horseback riding, fishing, rent watercraft, or simply stroll! There are walking paths where you can relax and get back to nature.
    • Check your resorts activities. Many of the resorts have outdoor movie parties (free!) and other fun activities.
    There is also a new website page listing several others that do have some costs. Of those listed here, I strongly recommend DiveQuest and Behind the Seeds tour.

    But, my favorite free activity is to visit the Boardwalk or Downtown Disney at night. There is window shopping, occasional fireworks, and a festive atmosphere. Both also feature free entertainment on their walkways that can really make the evening.

    If you need any follow-up suggestions, you can send me some more detailed ideas of interests by asking me from my bio page.

    Have a magical vacation!
