My 8 year old daughter and I will visit Typhoon Lagoon on August 2nd. We want to visit the Shark Reef. Do they provide snorkles, goggles and life jackets? And do the water parks provide towels or do we bring our own?

Shark reef was a big hit with my 8 year old girls earlier this year. Snorkels, masks, and life jackets are all right there to borrow free of charge for your trip across the tank. Masks and snorkels are disinfected after each use. My girls had a bit of difficulty with the whole snorkel concept, so they just wore their own goggles that we had brought from home and came up for air periodically.

Towels are available for rental at the water parks. Prices can change, but in early 2008, they were $1 each for the day. They're not big or plush but they do the trick. Many people bring their own beach towels to the water parks, but I think it's a hassle to have more stuff to carry, so we just rent.  Towel rentals are at the main shop at each park near the entrance -- the same place where you would get your locker key.
