My 11 year old daughter & I are making our first visit to DisneyWorld in July 2014.- but I'm really confused re. the benefits of the various Dining plans! Do they offer better value than just paying as you go? Any other advantages? Hope you can help

    Hello Annette.
I'm so thrilled to know that you and your princess will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort for the very first time this coming July, you must both be so very excited.
I'm a big fan of the Disney Dining Plans; I love having 100+ dining locations to choose from offering me huge freedom as a diner and the major plus of not having to constantly budget for meals during my holiday.
The main three Dining Plans to choose from are -
Disney Quick Service Dining Plan; each day this gives you 2 x counter service meals, including a dessert; plus a selected snack such as popcorn, cupcake or a soft drink.
Disney Dining Plan; each day this gives you 1 x counter service meal, including dessert; 1 x waiter service meal, including dessert plus a selected snack.
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan; each day this plan 3 x waiter service meals, including dessert and 2 x selected snacks as before.
All plans include a refillable Resort Mug per Guest.
Perhaps consider how big an eater you are; remember American portion sizes can sometimes be larger than we're used to here at home in the UK.  I find that the middle option of the Disney Dining Plan works best for my families appetite and eating habits.
Which ever option you go for, believe me when I say you won't go hungry!
    Have a great Disney day.
