Mom And Daughter Resort Room

Our 3. 5 year old daughter LOVES rides that spin and go up and down. Whereas the tea cup ride, the carousel and others would leave me and my husband quite sick, it would leave my daughter very happy! Will Disney staff be able to ride with her on these?

Oh Donna, I feel your pain. I can handle most roller coasters, but those tea cups destroy me every time.

Unfortunately, there is no way to have a Disney cast member accompany your daughter on a ride. Once your daughter is about seven years old, she would likely be permitted by cast members to ride on her own, but of course that doesn't do you much good right now.

When my daughters were smaller and loved to spin, my husband and I tried to minimize our motion sickness by taking turns on the spinny rides and spreading them out throughout the day. You could also try motion sickness strategies used in other circumstances such as Sea Bands, sucking on ginger candy, or munching on Saltines.

So that you're prepared, the following rides have a large spinning component:

Magic Kingdom: Astro Orbiter, Tea Cups, Dumbo, Aladdin's Magic Carpet

Animal Kingdom: Triceratops Spin, Primeval Whirl (but your daughter will likely not be tall enough for this)

Disney's Hollywood Studios: Some guests have motion issues with Toy Story Mania

    Good luck!
