Our 4 year old daughter is 40.5 inches tall and weighs 36 lbs. Although she meets the height requirement for Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain Railroad, do you think she is too little for these rides? She loves kids roller coasters at local carnivals.

    Hi Barbara,

Sounds like you've got yourself an adventurous little princess!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has many twists, turns & small hills but no huge drops. It can slide you around in your seat a bit but there is a lap bar to keep you in the seat.  There are some vantage points where your daughter can see the train zooming along the tracks.  If she thinks it looks like fun, then go for it.  I would keep my hand on her just to keep her from sliding around too much but she may get a kick out of that. You could also put her between you and another member of your party.  Its a really fun roller coaster and most kids love it.

Splash Mountain now has lap bars too.  Its a pretty tame ride except for the one big drop that you can see from the outside of the ride.  Its 5 stories tall but its over pretty quick.  There are couple of other smaller drops.  Let her look at it and if it looks like fun to her, climb aboard and prepare to get wet .

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
