Hi, it would be my 4 year old daughter first time to WDW. She wants to dress in her princess dress to see Elena of Avalor. But we dont want her in her dress all day. When should be the right time to get her dressed? Where can i put her dress after?

    Hi Jennifer,

How exciting to take your little one to Walt Disney World for the first time! I assume that you'll be meeting Princess Elena at Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom. This is such a lovely and magical setting in which to meet princesses; I am sure that your little one will have stars in her eyes!

It is so sweet that she wants to wear her princess dress. As to when to have her put on her dress, I think that will mostly depend your little one. Perhaps a good idea will to be to make a Disney FastPass+ selection for meeting the princess early in the day. That way, you could potentially have her wear her dress to the theme park that day and then have her change out of it after meeting the princess. Otherwise, you could have her change in a nearby restroom just before meeting the princess, or with a little extra time if you think she would like to wear her dress longer.

As to where to leave the dress when you are done with it, there are lockers available for rental at Walt Disney World theme parks, so you could rent a locker and leave it there. Also, if you are taking a stroller with ample storage, or if you have a backpack with you that could fit the dress, you could keep it with you.

If you are looking for some more thoughts on planning this vacation, there are great webpages for planning your Walt Disney World trip with preschoolers as well as information about princesses at Walt Disney World.

Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Jennifer!
