My 4 year old daughter is going on the Disney Dream cruise with her grandparetns next week. Should I pack her life jacket for on the ship for when they are swimming on the ship?

    Hi Clarissa,

Your daughter has wonderful grandparents!! And they are about to embark on a memorable voyage aboard the Disney Dream.

Feel free to pack your daughter's life jacket as long as it is Coast-Guard approved. Disney states that "Coast Guard personal flotation devices (PFDs), water wings and flotation sewn into bathing suits can be brought onboard and are permitted in Donald's Pool." This is true for Mickey's Pool too.

On Castaway Cay, swim vests are provided. When our son was younger, we always brought our own so we were certain of the fit, etc.

    Happy sailing!
