    Emily from MD Asked

My 3 year old daughter was just diagnosed with a chronic illness and was wondering if we could get any special character meets for her.

    Hi there Emily,

Thank you for making a magical stop here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter's illness… sending her happy thoughts and pixie dust.

The Walt Disney World Resort is where magic happens every day. My recommendation is that you visit any of the Guest Relations at any of the parks and speak with a Cast Member, they will be happy to assist you. The Cast Members at Guest Relations main focus is to help the Guest improve their experience. While at Guest Services, also ask the Cast Member about the Disability Access Service (DAS) Card and if the DAS card would benefit your daughter while at the Walt Disney World Resort.

The Disability Access Service (DAS) Card is designed to accommodate Guests who aren't able to wait in a conventional queue environment due to disability (including non-apparent disabilities). This is determined case by case. The child's photo will be taken for the issued card. The Cast Member will review all the guidelines of the DAS card with you.

I hope this helps and that you have a pixie-dusted visit. If you have any more questions, please visit us here and let us know how we can help you plan your magical vacation.

    Wishing you magic!
