    Chelsea Asked

I have a 4 year old daughter whom we are bringing to Disneyworld next week sometime, I am a little nervous because I don't know if there will be a lot of rides for her to ride or things to do. She is pretty tall, 42 inches, what can she ride and do?

    Hi Chelsea!

My little girl is also 4 years old and she keeps begging me and my wife to "move to Mickey's house."

The other day, we took one of our Triple D's (Daddy/Daughter Dates) where I let her pick where we go, and she said she wanted to go to the Magic Kingdom. Luckily, she let me take her to the airport where we pretended that we were headed to Walt Disney World for vacation.

(Sadly, those TSA party-poopers didn't accept our pretend boarding passes!)

That being said, I think what you're going to find is that your daughter is going to be kicking and screaming when she finds out that it's time to leave Walt Disney World and go back home. There's so much for children her age to experience, so she'll definitely have the time of her life.

As far as her height goes, she should actually be tall enough to ride most of the rides. When I checked the height charts, it appears that there are only a few heavy-duty thrill rides that she'd be too short for. To see the charts, check out the attractions page on and sort by guest height to get a comprehensive list of the ones she can experience.

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

If you have a pause about a particular attraction being too intense for your daughter, feel free to talk to the cast members stationed outside of the entrance to the attraction. They can give you an overview of what to expect so you don't have to blindly roll the dice.

Here's a bonus tip from your buddy Derek:

If you already have a few attractions in mind that you're curious about, feel free to write back and I'll be happy to tell you what my daughter thinks of them!

I hope that helps and I hope you have an awesome vacation!

    Best regards,
