Hello! I have a 4 year old daughter with autism. We are planning her 5th birthday celebration at Disney and I feel so overwhelmed trying to plan this event!! I How do I decide on a resort to stay and ways to make her bday very special? Thanks!!

    Hey Lauren!

Planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation can be a bit overwhelming, so I hope I can help take some of that stress away!

For birthday celebrations, here are a few ideas that you might like:
    • Order a custom cake or choose a 6-inch cake available at most table-service restaurants

As for choosing a resort, just think about what your daughter likes and you're sure to find something that she will love. If it's animals, then check out Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge or maybe if she likes The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo or Cars she would enjoy the themed rooms at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. There are pirate themed rooms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and princess themed rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. I'm sure you'll find one that is perfect for your daughter!

Lastly, I think you might find the information on services for guests with cognitive disabilities helpful in planning. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to let us know. Best wishes!
