My 11 year old brother has Aspergers and can't wait in lines for a very long time. We are worried we will not be able to go on any rides because of the waits for his sake. My family and I were wondering what can be done for a disability of this kind.

    Hi Courtney,

Thank you for stopping by with your great question about helping plan a Magical vacation for your brother! As a Physical Therapist I have long been enamored with the accessibility that Walt Disney World has for all of its Guests, including those with cognitive disabilities. With a little planning I am sure your entire family will have one of your best vacations ever!

My first suggestion for you is to download this Resource for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities. In this downloadable guide you will find trip planning strategies, information regarding accessing attractions, frequently asked questions, and much more valuable information to help you plan your trip. My next suggestion is to understand what the Disability Access Service (DAS) Card entails and consider obtaining one for your brother. The DAS Card may be utilized in conjunction with your FastPass+ selections in order to minimize waiting in lines. Finally I suggest preparing your brother for the sights and sounds of Walt Disney World by watching videos of the parks that you will be visiting. There are many fun videos for your brother to watch in this link to

Please come back and visit us again with any further Disney vacation planning questions that you have. We are always happy to help!
