We have a4 year old that we are bring to Disneyland. Would like to plan thing , but I don't know where to start. Can you tell me what is the best way to start ? I would love for this trip be something that he recalls when he is older.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Donna. Seeing your indicated arrival date of June 2017, you have plenty of time to plan for an unforgettable trip. First, check out the Pre-Arrival Tips on the Disneyland website. It'll give you some basic planning tips for the Disneyland Resort.

Here are some more tips to help you get started:

Staying Onsite: While there are many wonderful Good Neighbor Hotels in the Anaheim area, I recommend staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels if your budget allows. You'll be close to both Disneyland Park and California Adventure, making it convenient to return to your room to rest or take a dip in the pool when it is hot and busy at the parks.

Dining: Character Dining is a fun experience for children and adults alike. Goofy's Kitchen or Surf's Up! Breakfast with Mickey and Friends are great places for your son to interact with favorite Disney characters while enjoying a scrumptious meal. You can make table service reservation up to 60 days prior to your preferred date.

Latest info: I recommend checking out Disney Parks Blog as it gets closer to your arrival date to see what fun events are happening. Also, don't forget to download the Disneyland mobile app as it's a handy dandy tool when you're at the parks. You'll be able to find Meet-and-Greet times and locations, look up menus for restaurants, check out FastPass distribution times, as well as see how long the wait times for attractions.

I know this may seem overwhelming but we are here to help, Donna. As you begin your planning, please send us any questions you have. I wish you a magical day!

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

I am a wife and mother to 2 children, a 14 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I have always enjoyed going to Disneyland Resort as a child and now that I am a mother, I love watching my children experience Disneyland Resort through their eyes. It is a true delight seeing my daughter wear a ball gown walking side by side with Cinderella or my son jumping gleefully after he defeated Darth Maul in a light saber duel! Learn More About Kiki
