I have a 9 year old boy that likes his food more on the adult side instead of kids meals. We are going to Walt Disney World in June but he will not turn 10 until 3 days after we return. Besides buffets, can he get an upsized meal?

    Hi Steve,

My boys have always had adult tastes as well. It makes it had when they are required to order off a children's menu. You didn't mention if you are on the Disney Dining Plan or not. If you are, he will need to order off the children's menu, but you can inquire about paying the price difference out of pocket to upsize his meal, some restaurants may allow this. Another option is that a lot of restaurants will allow you to choose an item off the adult menu and will give it to you in a child sized portion. Each restaurant is different with this though, so you'll need to ask them each separately.

If you are not on the Disney Dining Plan, it is a lot easier. Your son can simply order off of the adult menu since you are paying out of pocket anyway.

Wishing you a wonderful vacation with your family!
