    Sarah from VA Asked

I have a 3 1/2 year old who is too big to fit in a packnplay but who still sleeps in a crib at home. What options does she have for bedding in a cruise line cabin?

    Ahoy, Sarah!
It is wonderful to hear from you! Your Very Merrytime Cruise will be here shortly, and your crew will be enjoying all Disney has to offer at sea before you know it! This will include all the holiday festivities including the Deck to Deck Tropical Party, Santa's Winter Wonderland Ball and Mickey's Tree Lightning Magic just to highlight a few! It will be a magical voyage sprinkled with lots of pixie dust!
As for your question, I think your little sailor will be super comfy on the single sleeper sofa. Your stateroom host/hostess will be able to place a bed rail on the side not against the wall to keep your mouseketeer safe and secure while he/she sleeps. This will be done each evening, but can be left in place for naptime as well. Since pack-n-plays are the only cribs on board, this will be your best option so your little one will have enough space to sleep comfortably. Both my kids slept in their cribs until they were almost three and half so I remember being a bit weary when we cruised, but they both did really well in this size bed with the rail. You can call Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 to note your bed rail request on your cruise reservation or speak with your stateroom host/hostess the first afternoon.
I hope my suggestion will work, Sarah. Disney Cruise Line really does make cruising with little ones super easy. Please write back if you have any additional last minute questions before the big day arrives!
    Have a magical day!
