I have a 7 year old with Asperger's.. He has sensory issues and needs a calm place to cool down that we can get to quickly. Would the Cabins at Fort Wildnerness be appropriate (nature soothes him a LOT) or are there better recommendations?

I think that the Cabins at Fort Wilderness would be a lovely option for your son. Everyone who I have talked to who has stayed at Fort Wilderness says that they will never stay anywhere else again. Several friends of mine stayed there just this past weekend and they said they loved it! They loved going on the golf carts around the resort, exploring the nature trail and bringing marshmallows to roast s'mores at night by the campfire. You can truly have a vacation at the Fort Wildness Resort itself without even going to the parks! This will be a perfect retreat for your son after a day at the parks!

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
