Hello. My 8 year old is a very adventurous eater. If she would like to order an entree that is not included on the kids menu at a quick service restaurant, will they deduct an adult credit?

    Hi Jason,

Your Key To The World Card (which holds your Park Passes, Dining Plan Credits and serves as your Resort Room Key), will designate how many Adults / Children are on your plan. The Dining Plan states that, "Guests ages 3-9 must order from a children’s menu where available". If your daughter orders off the adult menu, an adult entitlement will be deducted from your allotment of credits, which will then leave you short for the adults in your party.

I completely understand your predicament. While my son wasn't necessarily an adventurous eater at 8, he could easily eat more than I could. The children's menu would often leave him hungry. What I recommend for your daughter is what worked for us: If there was something on the adult menu that really appealed to my son, I ordered it for him and then I ate his meal. You will find though that the children's options at many Quick Service restaurants offer more than just ,"chicken nuggets and fries". The biggest difference is the portion size, which is why ordering off the adult menu would require an adult entitlement.

Hope this helps and have a wonderful vacation,
