Y'all are great! Have a child too short to ride Star Tours. Can he enter the que to see the great things before the ride; then can I exit with him, leaving hubbs to ride with taller kids? What about other rides with fun entries and height restricts? Thx

    Ashlea,

Actually, we just had this problem ourselves this past fall. My oldest was tall enough, the younger was not. Unfortunately we were not able to get our younger child into the queue area at the ride. They check that outside before you enter the attraction building. Now maybe you will have better luck with the cast member when you visit, but this is what happened to us.

So here is what the Cast Member did, and what we did as well, to make her feel better about not getting to go on the ride. First, the cast member was REALLY GREAT. He made a big deal about how she was a Captain-in-Training, and gave her a card that showed that she was a budding space explorer, themed to the Star Tours ride. It certainly softened the blow.

Then, while I was riding with my oldest on the attraction (selfish me), my wife was able to go across the walkway to a model of a speeder bike (from the Return of the Jedi movie). My little one was able to climb around on it, get her picture taken, and generally feel a bit like she got the experience while we were away.

Oh, and that ice cream bar didn't hurt either.

    Have a magical vacation!
