You wrote in your bio that "My best accomplishment has been getting my family to Walt Disney World on a shoestring budget." Being a mother of five, too, I'm interested to hear what that looks like for you. Thanks!

We always come to Disney beginning anywhere between the last week of August through the month of September.  The rates are generally at their lowest.

Book two rooms at a value resort, take a look online, and get an idea of a quote.

Why two rooms and not a villa? or cabin?  - bottom line its the cost.  We divide girls/and boys.  When you check in to hotel each room receives a welcome packet, in September, we both were given coupons for a free PhotoPass Photo in the park, $15.00 off total bill at Planet Hollywood. Now its 2x because we have doubled the coupons.

We shipped to the hotel breakfast items, like pop tarts, cereal bars, cookies, peanut butter crackers, a loaf of bread, peanut butter and jelly, and the favorite Ramen noodles.  We request a coffee maker, I usually bring extra filters, and put filters in and let water filter through into the pot less the coffee, and there is our hot water for the Ramen noodles.  The least expensive snack in the parks is fresh fruit, I order the kids meals and everyone shares.  We buy water bottles on the first day, and refill them in the parks.  We stop at the Ice Station Cool at Epcot and fill up our water bottle with the favorite soda from around the world.  Try them first with the 3 oz cup, but then fill up, when you find the one you like.  It's free.  We buy to refill mugs the first day, and share one is diet the other is regular.  Lastly, I take the kids to "Mickey's Mart - Everything Ten Dollars and Under" on the last day where they can purchase a souvenir.  We collect pressed pennies throughout the park, and each year they buy 3 pins and trade.  I look for promotions and coupons at disneyshopping.com These are only a few of my penny pinching ways.  Heather M.
