Is it worth it to rent a single stroller or just bring mine from home? Is there a way or special area per ride to lock up strollers so both parents can go with children on rides? Costs? I have a 2 yr old daughter that gets tired easily so we need it.

    Hi Tracy,

I recommend bringing your own stroller versus renting one in the park.  I absolutely agree that your two-year old will need a set of wheels at Disney, where the amount of walking can tire out a seasoned athlete, let alone a tiny tot!  Bringing your own stroller is a good idea for a few reasons in my opinion.  First, rentals need to be returned when you exit the park.   In my experience, Disney has a magical ability to lull little visitors to sleep just as they are approaching the turnstiles.  Carrying a twenty-pound, limp, drooling toddler to a bus, car or monorail after a long day at Magic Kingdom isn't my idea of fun!  Having a stroller at your resort, the airport and other non-park locations will also come in handy.  Next, stroller rentals are rather expensive.  A single stroller currently costs $15 per day.  You can save a bit with a "length of stay" rental, but most airlines allow you to gate check a stroller for free, and you can bring yours at no charge.  Finally, Disney strollers don't recline and don't have many of the "bells and whistles" that your personal stroller likely does.  If your little one takes an afternoon nap in her stroller and wants to recline,  likes her cup holder and you enjoy the storage space under your stroller, I'd stick with your own.

As for where to leave strollers while on attractions, each attraction has a designated "stroller parking" area, where you will see rows and rows of parked "baby buggies."  While I recommend taking your valuables with you on the attractions, I have never thought twice about leaving my stroller and cooler bag parked while my entire family rode together.  You might want to identify your stroller so that it's easy to spot as many look similar.

    Have a wonderful trip!
