Hi. Is it worth it to miss pirate night on our first cruise to do the mickey and minnies surprise celebration? To do pirate night we would pay more and be on a shorter vacation.

    Ahoy Zarina!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I am really excited to hear that you will have the opportunity to celebrate with Mickey and Minnie on your very FIRST high seas adventure this summer!  It should be a real party and what better way to celebrate Mickey's 90th than with the entire gang onboard Disney Cruise Line.

I know it's Mickey's party, but I have a gift for you!  Mickey and Minnie's Surprise Party at Sea should not replace Pirate Night during your sailing.  Onboard activities are always subject to change, but I did check with a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member and learned that you don't have to decide between these two amazing deck parties!

Mickey and Minnie's Surprise Party at Sea is an afternoon deck party with all the good stuff - Mickey ice cream bars, surprise party hats and some of your favorite Disney animated short films playing on deck!  Enjoy this fun celebration and also the Pirate Night festivities all in one sailing!  Pirate Night is one of my family's favorite activities on our Disney Cruises.  It truly is a must do for us; my kids even take a nap to make sure they stay awake for the entire night!

Even without Pirate Night, a Disney Cruise Line vacation is amazing.  With so many experiences, shows, character greetings and Port Adventures, no matter what itinerary you chose, you will not be disappointed.  If you found an itinerary that you love with a cruise length you are happy with - stick with it.  You are in for a treat and will have a magical time on your first cruise.

    Enjoy making memories!  Angie
