Is it worth extra room in ASM suite if coming with a 15 month old (will need crib) and almost 3 yr old who will both need naps during the day? I wonder if its cheaper to bring food for kitchen & stay in suite or stay in standard room with dining plan?

    Hi Kathryn,

The suites at Disney's All Star Music Resort are a lovely option if you have a child or two who need to nap mid-day.  That gives the rest of your party a place to watch television or relax without disturbing the sleeping children.  However, you should know that the kitchen in these suites is not a full kitchen.  Although there is a small refrigerator and microwave in the suites, it would be difficult to prepare much beyond a very simple meal (sandwiches, macaroni & cheese, etc.).  Nonetheless, preparing your own food will definitely save you money.  If having a separate space for your kids to nap at your resort is critical, then you can't do better than to have the amenities of a family suite at your disposal.

If, however, you think your children will be able to nap in the same room with the rest of your family, I suggest you try the Disney Dining Plan.  It is such an amazing, inexpensive way to sample a wide variety of cuisines and treats at Walt Disney World.  If you book a standard room with your Disney Dining Plan, I think you'll still find that your vacation package will be quite affordable.

Good luck making your decision.  Let us know if you need any additional advice.
