Is it worth it buying memory maker? I went to Disney on 2015 and didnt buy the memory maker but photographers did took the picture and scanned on my magic band so I was still able to get the pictures whats the difference on photopass and memory maker?

Hello Areli, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question. I would be happy to explain the difference between Disney’s PhotoPass Service and Memory Maker to you.

Disney’s PhotoPass® Service uses a team of photographers located throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. They will capture your family’s magical moments in front of the most iconic landmarks in Disney Theme Parks and Disney Springs. They will magically upload your photos to your MagicBand or PhotoPass card. You may also find photographers at some of your favorite character dining experiences. Photopass photographers allow every member of your ‘ohana to appear in your cherished group photos so no one gets left behind the camera and left out of your memories. Your photos and videos may be captured while on board a few rides and attractions as well. Photopass is there to capture it for you free of charge.

Memory Maker is my favorite Disney product because it allows me to crop, edit, add cool banners, stickers and autographs to my PhotoPass photos before downloading them to share with my friends and family. A Memory Maker purchase offers me unlimited downloads of my photos for up to 30 days after they were taken along with a discount on prints of my photos. This is definitely worth the cost savings of purchasing each photo or download separately from PhotoPass. Currently, you will save $30 off your Memory Maker when it is purchased at least three days in advance of your arrival. Your vacation may only last for a short time, but your photos and memories will last a lifetime. I hope that answers your question. If you need anything else before you arrive, please come back and visit us here.
