Will be at the World in Feb. for DD 9th birthday. Would like some unique, but affordable ideas for making it special? Know about pins from city hall & florist, but she's at that "getting cool" stage so anything too embarrassing isn't an option.

    Hi Shari!

Hmm, nothing embarrassing...that's a tough one!  How about a character meal that she would enjoy?  If she's into Princesses, the perfect place to dine is at Cinderella's Royal Table.  Or how about the classic characters at Chef Mickey's?  You can have a special cake brought out to her with her favorite character on  it for a special celebration.  We celebrated my son's 4th birthday and daughter's 1st birthday last week at Chef Mickey's.  I surprised my son with a Jake and the Neverland Pirates cake and he was so excited!  The chef's can create pretty much anything you want.  For more information on special cakes, check out the Disney Food Blog here:  http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/disney-world-cakes-faq/

The Family Magic Tour is a wonderful present for the birthday girl.  It is suitable for all ages and give you a little tour of the Magic Kingdom.  It's very reasonably priced and a lot of fun!

    Have a magical day!
