How does it work when the park closes at 9pm but the Wishes fireworks start at 9:00pm (October 1, 2008 for example)? Surely we don't have to leave the park before the fireworks start. First trip with DDs 3&6 in 2 mos! Yay! Thanks for ALL the help!

In the situation you're describing, the Magic Kingdom closing at 9:00 means that no new guests will be admitted to the park after that time and that no new guests will be able to join the lines to the rides. But of course all the guests that are in the park can stay and watch the Wishes fireworks show. The shops on Main Street will even be open for quite a while after Wishes is over to serve guests who might need a last minute souvenir. You could expect that a fair number of guests will remain in the park until at least 10:00. Disney Transportation will continue to run until the park is empty and all the guests are safely on their way back to their resort.

Have a great trip to WDW!
