Hi, how does it work to book a race with runDisney travel providers? Do I register for the race then call the travel provider for the rest of the package? Can I call them in advance so they can book my race for me as soon as registration opens? Thank you.

    Welcome back!

There are a couple of ways you can handle working with an official runDisney Travel Provider (I've used Get Travel Sports several times). Here are your options:

    • You can register for the race on your own and then use a Travel Provider to book your accommodations and discounted theme park tickets - just be sure the provider you use does offer this option. I know Get Travel does this. I usually register on my own with the Annual Passholder or Disney Vacation Club Member early registration option and then book my resort and tickets later.

    • If you're concerned a race will sell out quickly (Disneyland® Half Marathon Weekend usually does), you can book a package that offers race registration rolled in. Many will work with you in advance of registration opening.

You can expect the official list of Travel Providers to post on the event page for the 2016 Disneyland® Half Marathon Weekend on runDisney.com at the end of January or early February. Once this information is available, you may begin the contact/booking process.

I hope this helps, Isabelle! Please keep in touch with me if you should have any additional questions.
