Wondering which water park is better for a preschooler who knows how to swim?

    Hi Francina!

Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are fantastic water parks for little swimmers!  Tike's Peak at Blizzard Beach and Ketchakiddee Creek at Typhoon Lagoon offer a preschool play area that have shallow waters and smaller slides, including a mini-tube ride.   We spent most of our water park days there when our kids were smaller.

Typhoon Lagoon has a zero entry calm pool at the bottom of Crush 'n' Gusher.  Here you don't have to worry about waves, tubes or slides and the kids can splash around and swim.

Both parks have a wave pool, but they are completely different experiences.  The Surf Pool at Typhoon Lagoon can be intimidating for little ones with it's 6-foot waves.  Even the waves in the shallow end of the pool can be pretty powerful, but they are tons of fun!  The Bay Slides to the left of the Surf Pool are great for smaller children when they need a break from the Surf Pool.  Meltaway Bay at Blizzard Beach offers gentle waves and you can bob in an tube.  This pool is great for smaller swimmers and is calm enough to swim in the shallow end.

You're guaranteed to have a fantastic time at either water park.  Choosing one is the hard part!

    Have a magical day!
