Mom With Kids After Run

Wondering about the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway. Says in the "Unofficial Guide" that it may cause motion sickness. Was planning on taking 3 kids (9, 7, and 4) on it, but now worried it may make us sick (we all have sensitive stomachs!)

There are plenty of rides at WDW that I would tell you could induce motion sickness (beware those spinning teacups), but the Indy Speedway is certainly not one of them. I have never personally heard of anyone becoming motion sick on the Speedway.

The Indy Speedway ride is really a car ride. The vehicles are on a track, so there's no way to go off course. The track does have many gentle twists and turns, but you're going at a speed of less than 7 miles per hour. If you were all hyper-prone to car sickness, I could maybe see that this would be a small issue. But if you can withstand a moderately curvy car ride, then I think you'll be fine. Frankly, I have more motion problems on Dumbo than I do on the Speedway.

    Hope this helps.
