Hello! I was wondering if I have to take my toddler's birth certificate because he is turning 3 in the middle of our vacation stay and he is very tall for his current age (2 years old) would I be questioned about his age? I just want to be prepared.

    Hi Koraldys,

It's awesome that you were able to plan your Walt Disney World vacation to begin before your son turns 3 -- while his admission is still free. Because he will be 2 at the beginning of your vacation, he will enjoy free admission throughout, even though his birthday is in the middle of your trip.

My daughter also was tall for her age at 2, and we visited Walt Disney World many times as local annual passholders. Never did anyone question her age or ask for identification. Even though I had a wallet-sized card that was a copy of her birth certificate, just in case, I never had to use it.

Do you have plans for his birthday celebration? Make sure you pick up a free Happy Birthday button for him at Guest Relations at any of the theme parks. When he wears it, he'll get lots of birthday greetings and, occasionally, a special surprise such as a celebratory dessert.

At that age, my daughters enjoyed character meals for their birthday dinners. One of my favorites is a meal with Winnie the Pooh and Friends at the Crystal Palace inside Magic Kingdom. Chef Mickey's, of course, is always a top pick, and you can expect a special birthday song there.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Koraldys. Please let us know if you have any more questions as you make your final plans. We're always here to help.

    Enjoy!
