    Danning from Tokyo Asked

I am wondering what time the Rivers of Light 1st show is, and when I should be there to line up for the 1st show? Thank you. Danning

Hi, Danning! This is a great question, so I am glad you stopped by to chat with us! Rivers of Light is a beautiful nighttime show and I think it compliments the natural beauty of this park so well. It is quite a popular show, too, so I do want to recommend to you that you consider making a FastPass+ selection for it or book a Rivers of Light Dining Package. The package will include a meal at either Tusker House Restaurant or Tiffins Restaurant. If you are on the Disney Dining Plan, then you will be able to utilize Table Service meal entitlements for the package. That makes it such a great deal!

I see that you are arriving in the next few days to begin your magical vacation at Walt Disney World Resort. I took a look at the schedule and see that the first Rivers of Light each night is to begin at 8:30 p.m. This time is subject to change, so be sure to pick up a Times Guide as you enter the park that day for the most accurate schedule. I have heard of guests lining up in the stand-by queue over an hour or two in advance! Even then, you are not guaranteed to get a seat. This does make that dining package sound more useful! With the vouchers to enter the area held for dining package participants, I would still arrive at least 30-45 minutes in advance for a great seat. If you are able to secure a FastPass+ for it, then I would arrive around an hour before the show is to begin.

If you would like to secure your FastPass+ or Rivers of Light Dining Package and find that there is no current availability, keep trying! Guests change their plans often, particularly in the final days before their trips. You never know when you may luck up on one! Thank you for bringing your question to us and please let us know if you have any other questions.
