Grandfather with granddaughter at Magic Kingdom

I am wondering where or how we can stay on site, my daughter and her husband have 5 children, and my husband and I want to have our own room. Are there any places that are reasonably priced to stay with 5 children?

    Hi Cathy!

I think multigenerational trips to Walt Disney World Resort are the most magical vacations ever! I stayed at Disney's Contemporary Resort with my parents and grandmother when I was seven, and more than 40 years later, I still remember the look on Grandma's face as the fireworks above Cinderella Castle illuminated our balcony. Your grandchildren will always be grateful for the memories they'll make with you at Walt Disney World Resort.

There are three accommodation options that come to mind as I read your question:

    1. A Treehouse Villa at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa sleeps 9 and would give you and your husband a private room and your daughter and her husband would have their own space as well. That leaves bunk beds, a sleeper sofa and pull-out chair for their children. Who wouldn't want to stay in a treehouse nestled in the woods along the Sassagoula River?

    2. The 2-bedroom villas at Disney's Old Key West Resort also sleep 9 very comfortably. There's ample square-footage in the rooms at this peaceful, tropical resort. Among the various 2-bedroom options in the Disney Vacation Club collection, the best discounts often appear for this resort.

    3. Perhaps the most economical option would be for your family to reserve three standard rooms at a value resort. For instance, your daughter, son-in-law and their children could stay in connecting rooms at Disney's Pop Century Resort and you could request a room that is adjacent to them. This is a fun, affordable resort with great theming and recently renovated guest rooms.

Let us know if you need additional guidance as you decide where to stay. My friends and I here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel would love to help.

Sending best wishes and pixie dust,
    Jill
