Hi I was wondering if there was any scavenger hunt events or if i can do a private one? My vacation is 11/25/12-12/02/12.

    Hi Joyelle,

While Disney has occasionally had large organized scavenger hunts, I don't know of any that are happening during the tie of your visit. However, if you're not disruptive to other guests, you're welcome to construct your own small scavenger hunt at the parks.

There is a book, available on Amazon, called the Disney World Queue Line Scavenger Hunt that involves searching for items while waiting in attraction lines.

The independent website PassPorter.com has a good article called "Scavenger and Treausre Hunts at Walt Disney World." They have some good make-your-own hunt ideas.

Perhaps the closest thing to a popular scavenger hunt at WDW is searching for Hidden Mickeys. These are Mickey-shaped icons hidden throughout the Dsney parks. The excellent Steve Barrett has a book series about Hidden Mickeys that is available through Amazon and in the Disney parks. My own family loves them.

    Happy hunting!
