Wondering which resort would be best for 12 year twin girls. Trying to decide between animal kingdom and wilderness lodge. We are going during first week of May 2017

    Hi Pat!

My family stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in August and we loved it. If you stay here, make sure to reserve a Savanna View. This will allow you to see the animals from your room! We had giraffes, zebras and deer all outside our window. I loved to wake up in the morning and have a cup of coffee on the balcony while watching the animals graze outside. They even have a room with bunk beds, which your 12-year old twins would love! You will also want to go on the Wanyama Safari if you stay here. You will get a tour ride throughout the savanna and an up-close and personal view of the animals. Call 407-WDW-PLAY to reserve. If your girls like animals, this is a great resort! My daughter wants to be a vet when she grows up, so this was perfect for her.

Disney's Wilderness Lodge is also a wonderful resort. When I stayed here, I particularly loved the theming and ability to see the Electrical Water Pageant from the resort. You can also take the water launch to Magic Kingdom, which is a fun, and fast, way to get to the park.

May I also suggest looking into Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. This resort is a favorite of my kids because of the Hawaiian theming, 'Ohana (which is a delicious all-you-care-to-eat restaurant - my fav throughout all of Disney!) and the pool is incredible. You are also on the monorail line to both Magic Kingdom and Epcot at this resort, which saves a ton of time.

No matter which resort you choose, I know your girls will have an amazing visit!

    Magically,
    Stacy
