I was wondering what is a preferred room compared to a standard room at Pop Century?

    Hi Stephen,

The Pop Century resort is my family's favorite value resort. We've stayed there many times over the years and always have a great experience.

The difference in the preferred rooms vs. the standard rooms relates to their locations. Preferred rooms are in the '50s, '60s and '70s sections, closest to the Hippy Dippy Pool and Classic Hall, where the food court, shopping, arcade and bus depot are located.

Pop Century is a relatively small resort, so I've never found the distance from the standard rooms to Classic Hall to be an issue. I usually request a standard room in the '50s section. That's the spot we find the most convenient and quiet.
