    Kari from IN Asked

Hi I was wondering if it is possible to book category 1 seating at Mickey's Backyard BBQ using the dining plan? Thanks!

Greetings, Kari and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Mickey’s Backyard BBQ is a fun, music-filled hoedown with some of our beloved Disney Characters, where you’ll enjoy an all-you-care-to-eat BBQ feast!

Kari, if you wish to book this Dinner Show using your Disney Dining Plan, you will have to book Category 2 or 3 seating and redeem (2) Meal Entitlements per Guest in your Disney Resort hotel Guest Room package reservation who will be dining at this Dinner Show. If you prefer Category 1 seating, you are welcome to book this Dinner Show and pay out of pocket which would save the Meal Entitlements for redemption towards another Dining Event or Dinner Show and you would then be able to book Category 1, pending availability of course.

Please ensure you make your Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days before your stay, select FastPass+ experiences 60-days in advance of your check-in (one of many Disney Resort hotel Guest benefits) and personalize your MagicBands with My Disney Experience to optimize your visit.

Our Spring Festivities will be in full bloom for your discovery and exploration.

We hope this information is helpful, Kari and wish you a Hootin’ Tootin’ good time at Mickey’s Backyard BBQ!
