Hi! We will be there 9/14/13-9/18/13, wondering when Mickeys No So Haunted Halloween will be & if we will be there for any of it? Also should we get lanyards to carry our Keys to the World & if so would my kids need them or will they have wristband

    Hi Angie!

I absolutely love Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Most of all, I really enjoy watching the special fireworks display - Happy HalloWishes. Personally, I think it's worth every penny for the price of admission just for those fireworks.

As for your question about the dates, unfortunately I don't have access to this year's schedule yet. However, in the past they have held Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Parties in the second week of September (so you might be in luck this year). My advice would be to subscribe to the Disney Parks Blog and watch for announcements there. They're the first ones to publish breaking news, schedules, and other neat little tidbits about the Disney vacation destinations.

Now, your second question is one that I'm really excited about - the MagicBands. I know that there has been a lot of testing going on around the theme parks and resort hotels with this technology, but unfortunately I haven't heard of an official "go-live" date. I've been keeping close tabs on this issue through the Disney Parks Blog because I can't wait to give it a try myself. I think it's going to be so cool!

Since I don't have a definite answer on the availability of the MagicBands yet, I think lanyards are a good way to go. If anything, your kids can keep their Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom cards in them! (If they haven't tried playing the game yet, I'd definitely recommend it!

I hope that helps a little! If you should have any other questions as you're planning your vacation, please feel free to send them my way and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can!

    Best regards,
