Hello. I was wondering which Disney restaurants will puree food? My 3 year old daughter has medical issues and her food needs to be "Jr. texture," which is like apple sauce texture. I noticed your son needs his foods pureed as well.

    Hi Leanne,

Traveling w/ a child that needs specially prepared food can be challenging but Disney does a great job of meeting those needs. Special dietary requests (including food allergies & medically restricted diets) can often be accommodated at most WDW table service restaurants including dinner shows.

When making your dining reservations (407-WDW-DINE), be sure you inform the Cast Member you have a special dietary request. Then at least 14 days prior to your arrival, send an email to SpecialDiets@DisneyWorld.com regarding your request. Make sure you include the name on the reservation, restaurant name, date & time of reservation, contact # (use a cell phone # you'll have w/ you on your trip) & your special request. A Disney Chef has always called me back to personally discuss my son's needs.

When you arrive at your dining location, be sure to mention to the hostess & server that you have a special dietary request. They usually have it noted on the reservation but double checking will ensure your daughter won't have to wait longer for her meal. A Chef will visit your table to confirm your request & again after the food arrives to make sure its okay. They've always been kind enough to check back when its time for dessert to offer assistance.

Please keep in mind that restaurants (table service & quick service locations) are not allowed to heat up food that isn't prepared by a Disney Chef or CM so if you bring something in, make sure it doesn't need to be heated.

At quick service locations, we can usually find something (applesauce, yogurt, mashed potatoes, Mac N Cheese) to help get us through. If you bring food into the park & want to warm it up, check w/ the Baby Care Center & they may be able to assist you.  Wishing you magical memories :-) Allison
