Wondering if dining at a character meal at a resort, do you have to use a theme park ticket for the location that the resort is located in? Like Chef Mickeys, etc. I know for the Cinderella castle meal you need Magic Kingdom admission but for resorts? Thx!

Hi, fellow Tennessean Amanda! I have an answer I think you'll like to hear! It's only when you want to eat at a restaurant INSIDE one of the theme parks that you will need an admission ticket for your meal.  Since you are wanting to dine at one of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, you are invited to do so without needing any tickets. Because none of resort hotels are inside a theme park (although some are within walking distance of the parks), none will require theme park admission.  You will only need theme park tickets if you actually enter the parks.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
