I am wondering if I can check my stroller at the airport, attach one of my yellow Magic Express tags to it, and then have it delivered to my room with the rest of my luggage. I think this would make our travels an ounce or two easier. Great forum!

    Hi Melissa,

In theory, this should work. A stroller can be a piece of luggage and can be checked onto a flight. If it has the yellow Magical Express tag on it, it will go to your resort with your other luggage.

Some things to keep in mind as to why hold onto your stroller and then gate check it for your flight. (Gate checking is when you bring an item with you onto the jet bridge and leave it for the airline ground crew to place it on the plane last. It then becomes one of the first pieces brought to the jet bridge upon arrival.) If you have younger child who needs a car seat for the plane, the stroller can hold the car seat and you can have your child walk to tire them out for the flight.

Also, most airlines charge fees for luggage. You will need to check your airline's policy on check bags. This includes the number per person, size and weight. With revenues decreasing, added fees are necessary revenue for airlines.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
