Just wondering if we take the chair lift at Blizzard Beach, do we have to come down one of the slides or can we change our minds and come down the stairs if someone loses their nerve? My daughter is apprehensive. Thanks! Love you panel!!

    Hi Kirsten,

Thanks for a great question!  As someone who recently experienced Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach for the first time, I can definitely confirm that there are stairs for anyone who decides at the last minute that they don't want to do the big slides after all.  You have no idea how many times I looked at those stairs, thinking that they might be a better option than careening down North America's tallest free fall body slide.  I watched a number of people opt for the stairs so I know they exist.  So don't worry.  You and your daughter are not committed to take the slides simply because you ride the chair lift at Blizzard Beach.

I would, however, encourage you to give Summit Plummet a try.  Despite my hesitation while waiting in line, I'm proud to report that I was able to overcome my nervousness and experience this amazing slide.  Normally I'm a chicken about such things but this was a ride I'd do again in a heartbeat.  If you and your daughter are up for it, definitely give it a try!

    Best wishes,

    Jill
