    Christopher from MA Asked

Hello, I was wondering if anybody is allowed to eat at the restaurants at Shades of Green or only military personnel that are staying at the resort? Thank you in advance for your answer.

Hi, Christopher, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Shades of Green is my family's home away from home when we visit Walt Disney World Resort. With six restaurants, there's a variety of options available there. While you won't need to show your Shades of Green Resort ID to dine at any of them, you will need to show a photo ID to the security guard at the gate.

My family's favorite is Mangino's, a full-service restaurant (only open for dinner) whose specials change daily. There's also the Garden Gallery buffet (open for both breakfast and dinner) where each night has a different "theme" including Build a Pizza Night, Carnival Night and the Chef's Wing Bar. Lunch options include Evergreen's sports bar and the Express Cafe, too. The Java Cafe is also open throughout the day serving homemade gelato, fresh-baked pastries and Starbucks coffee. (My daughter's favorite thing about staying at Shades of Green is the Java Cafe!)

Shades of Green is nestled in the midst of Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course, Disney's Magnolia Golf Course and Disney's Palm Golf Course, and I have seen golfers in the restaurants when we've been there.

Regular Disney Bus Transportation doesn't go to Shades of Green, and you'll need a Shades of Green Resort ID and photo ID to board a Shades of Green bus. If you have a reserved tee time at one of the golf courses, complimentary transportation is available to Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

Please let us know if you have any other questions, Christopher. Enjoy your vacation!
