Hello. I was wondering if admission to rides during extra magic hours has changed with the magic bands. I remember the time that resort guests were given a wrist band and EMH lines were short, but that changed when Disney no longer requested wristbands.

    Hi Evis!

When the Extra Magic Hours start, Cast Members are set up all around the parks to check for valid resort ID.  With the MagicBands, they have hand held devices that they scan to make sure you have a valid resort key.  If you aren't a resort guest, you will be directed towards the exit.  The lines are still pretty low during Extra Magic hours and it is definitely a great perk to take advantage of.

    Have a magical day!
